Build the Capability You Already Use Every Day
In business development roles, you’re often expected to bring in opportunities long before anyone shows you the frameworks behind influence, strategy, and client growth. If you’re ready to strengthen those skills and create more consistent results, this qualification helps you turn practical experience into recognised capability.Business development roles often grow naturally from trust — you become the person who can build rapport, solve problems, and bring opportunities together. But without structured training, many BD professionals rely heavily on intuition, making it harder to scale their impact or step confidently into senior roles.
The BSB50120 Diploma of Business (Business Development) helps you develop the capability behind effective client relationships, strategic communication, lead nurturing, customer experience, and opportunity growth. Each module builds the skills needed to influence outcomes, understand customer expectations, and guide conversations that lead to stronger business results.
You’ll learn how to deliver value at every stage of the customer journey, manage budgets, develop business relationships, implement service strategies, use social media engagement effectively, and reduce risks that impact client confidence. The qualification suits anyone working in business development, account management, customer experience, sales, marketing or client relations — or preparing to advance into these roles.
