LOW-COST COURSES

All Participants must:

• Reside or work in South Australia; and
• Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
• Be a permanent Australian resident; or
• Hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency; or
• Hold a temporary visa of a class specified by the Minister from time to time (latest list available here);

and are

• Not enrolled in school, and aged 16 years or over; or
• Enrolled in school, undertaking training through identified subsidised arrangements (such as VET for School Students), and

ADDITIONAL SUBSIDIES MAY APPLY

Additional “Participant Course Fee Concession” Subsidy may apply if you hold a current Commonwealth Government concession card:

• Health Care Card; or
• Pensioner Concession Card; or
• Veteran Affairs Concession Card.

Or if:

• Participant is a prisoner in a South Australian correctional institution

The Participant Course Fee Concession will further reduce the course fee if this applies.

How to Enrol:

  1. Talk to a Course Advisor as to an appropriate course to match your career goals.
  2. Your Course Advisor will be able to give you an approximate price for your qualification and check that you meet the eligibility requirements for the funding.
  3. Enrolment form is submitted.
  4. For funding, your Course Advisor will conduct a Suitability Needs Assessment with you over the phone (a simple chat).
  5. You will then need to complete a Numeracy and Literacy test. This is done as a supervised zoom session. Book your time with your Course Advisor. This test is free to you.
  6. To commence your course straight away, you will need to achieve an Exit Level 2 or higher for Writing and Level 3 or higher for Reading and Numeracy. Your results will be available at the completion of your test.

If you achieve below these levels, we will contact a Learner Support Service on your behalf to organise any additional training, free to you, that may help you to complete your course with us.

Your Course Advisor will work with you through this process.

Course Investment:

Student Fees are set by the SA Government – $3000 to $5000 after funding per qualification depending on the course and your eligibility status.

Payment Options: Student Fees can be paid by your Company or the individual.

  • Payment Plans are available to suit your budget (usually paid over 12 months)
  • VET Student Loans – $0 upfront for Diploma Courses pending eligibility

SA Eligibility:

  • All Participants must:• reside or work in South Australia; and
    • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; or
    • be a permanent Australian resident; or
    • hold a State sponsored visa on a pathway to permanent residency; or
    • hold a humanitarian temporary visa of a class specified by the Minister from time to time;and are• not enrolled in school, and aged 16 years or over; or
    • enrolled in school, undertaking training through identified subsidised arrangements (such as VET for School Students), andAdditional JobTrainer Subsidy may further reduce the course fee if:• Participant is not employed and not enrolled in a secondary school; or
    • Participant is aged 16 to 24 years old and not enrolled in a secondary school; or
    • Participant is a prisoner in a South Australian correctional institution; orHolds a current Commonwealth Government concession card:• Health Care Card; or
    • Pensioner Concession Card; or
    • Veteran Affairs Concession Card.
