Paying your fees with Vet Student Loans

VET Student Loans are eligible for the following:
– an Australian citizen, or
– a qualifying New Zealand citizen, or
– a permanent humanitarian visa holder, who is usually resident in Australia

Step 1. Read all the information on this page, and then complete GTI Vet student loan form bellow.

Before you can apply for a Vet Student Loan, the Australian Government requires us to be able to provide proof that you have been given all the required information to make an informed decisions. To provide this proof please read, fill out, and agree to the conditions of the form below.

VET Student Loans form GTI: Ensure you have read and downloaded the: VET Student Loans Information Book. For all official and up-to-date information about VET Student Loans https://www.studyassist.gov.au/vet-student-loans

Citizenship Status: You will need to provide proof of you residency status, this can be: Australian or New Zealand passport; or Citizenship Certificate; or relevant information for GTI to confirm your status as an Australian Citizen or a Qualifying New Zealand Citizen or Humanitarian visa holder with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection’s Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO). If you don’t have these, please fill out the form found on this page to confirm your citizenship.

When completing the Proof of Citizenship eligibility section of the form: Please provide a copy of the required documentation as specified on the Vet Student Loans Overview page.

Numeracy and Literacy: On your application form you will need to provide us with one of the following: An Australian Senior Secondary Certificate of Education (Year 12 Certificate) OR Display competence at or above Exit Level 3 in the Australian Core Skills Framework in both Reading & Numeracy OR A certificate of qualification at level 4 or above in the Australian Qualifications Framework (Certificate IV, Diploma, or University Degree). If you can’t provide any of these you will need to complete a Free Numeracy & Literacy Test with us (We will provide this to you if needed).

Step 2. Complete Official Vet Student Loan application (Ecaf form):

You will be sent a link to the form after 2 working days of us receiving your enrolment form. Please look out for the email – it comes from the Government. You will need to have your Tax File Number with you when you complete the form.

Then send us an email to [email protected] and tell us that you have completed the form.

NSW Smart and Skilled Subsidised Students: As your fees are State Government Subsidised, your loan is interest free (no 20% loading added to your fees). Your VET Student Loan amount will equal the amount of your Student Fees after the NSW Smart & Skilled subsidy. Your form may list the full qualification price but your Loan amount will only be the amount of your student fees.

Step 3. Enrolment Confirmation and Get Started:

As soon as we receive notification that you have completed your VET Student Loans application (Ecaf form), we will get you up and running in your course. We will then officially enrol you in your course, send you your Confirmation of Enrolment letter, allow you access into your Online Student Area (where you will find your Training and Assessment materials) and get you started on your course with your Trainer.

Paying my Tuition Fees via VET Student Loans
I acknowledge that:
- I have access to the VET Student Loans Booklet – either hard copy or the online booklet (available in the footer).
- I was not offered any inducement or incentive (e.g. laptop, cash, or guaranteed employment) at the end of my course etc. to encourage me to enrol in this course
- I was not cold called or marketed into VET Student Loans via any unsolicited contact

- For accurate and up-to-date information about VET Student Loans, I need to go to www.studyassist.gov.au.
- VET Student Loans assistance is a loan from the Commonwealth and it is not ‘Free’ or ‘Government Funded’
- I do not start to repay the loan until my personal income is greater than $45,000 or the amount set by the ATO in the future
- I will sign 1 x 'Request for Commonwealth Assistance' form for each qualification that i want to use a VET Student Loans towards payment. This form will cover tuition fees towards each VET course of study (qualification). This will be charged on a VET Unit of Study (VUS) basis.
- Census date(s) will apply to each of the VUS in which I enrol, and I will be taking out a loan (via VET Student Loans) for any tuition fees that remain unpaid on each census date – (Census dates are listed on the VUS Schedule of Fees)
- The loan will remain as my personal debt obligation and may affect (by reducing) my take home (after tax) wage or salary and my borrowing capacity, until it is repaid to the Commonwealth via the ATO
- Global Training Institute's Vet Student Loans policies and procedures are available on their website footer.
- I understand that I will be a student of Global Training Institute, my Qualification will be issued by Global Training Institute and that my Training may be conducted by a specialist company on their behalf.

- not incurring a VET Student Loans debt for that VUS; and/or
- receiving a refund for any up-front tuition fee payments made on or before the census date
