Imagine yourself leading your own small team or work gang. Taking charge of multiple earthmoving or road-working machines, and being responsible for numerous installations within an infrastructure project.
Would you like to be responsible for three or four work gangs? Ensuring all tasks are well coordinated and the necessary equipment and supplies are made available in a timely fashion?
Spend your day overseeing a number of construction gangs/teams on a construction site. Plan day-to-day operations, maintain workplace safety, and ensure the job is being carried out in line with the specifications.

Experienced Leading Hands, Supervisors and Foreman.
This course is for you. Your course is designed around your work roles and what you do every day, as well as to fit in around your busy work/home life. It will be easy for you to complete this course and get certifications with full support from your Trainers and Completion Coach.
If you don’t like typing you can even give your answers over the phone while you chat to your Trainer.

COURSE: Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision

IDEAL FOR: Supervisors, Foreman, Gangers and Leading Hands…
UNITS: 12
DURATION: 6-12 months (depending on experience)
DELIVERY: Online + Unlimited Phone Sessions
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Age: 21 Years or over; or
If under 21 (must be over 18), have a Certificate III + 2 years relevant work experience; or
If under 21 (must be over 18), have proof of high level of skills that may lead to an interview for possible enrolment
Academic Suitability: Proof of completing:
– Year 12/Senior Certificate; or
– Certificate III + 2 years relevant work experience; or
– Pass a GTI Language, Literacy and Numeracy test
Industry Experience: Currently employed in Civil Construction as a
Leading Hand or Supervisor, or able to undertake these roles on a
training basis on a civil construction site e.g. (run pre-start meetings, complete safety forms…); or
recently employed as a Leading Hand or Supervisor within the past 2 years
English language: see ‘English Requirements’ in the footer of the website for more information.
Resource Requirements: Students are required to have access to the internet and a computer in order to access their materials online.

NOTE: If an applicant does not meet the following criteria but believes they are capable, they will need to book a meeting with the Training Manager/Director and the enrolment may be accepted at their discretion.
